Dry Skin

Is Your Skin Very Dry During the Winter Time? Mine is for sure, but my water increase has helped a lot. Here are some things you can do if your skin is dry in the winter time or any other time.

First reduce the fats in your diet if you have been eating a lot of process and cooked fats. Also by eating all of these you are overloading your liver which can cause dry skin.he skin to become dry. In addition to the fact that by eating these you are probably not feeling all that energetic or healthy. Eliminate these fats or just reduce them for a few weeks to give your liver a rest and allow it to cleanse.

On the flip side you need to make sure you are getting enough good fats. As this can also cause dry skin. It is recommended that you get 4-6 servings per week. Keep your oils at a low temperature so as not to alter them. Some good oils or fats come from flax, hemp, pumpkin seeds, olives, avocados, coconuts, fish, nuts and seeds.

Again make sure you are getting enough water as this is a really big deal in the upkeeping of your skin.

Some essential oils to use on dry skin would be
Lavender
Baby Skin (a blend from Rocky Mountain Oils)
Geranium
Jasmine
Lemon
Neroli
Patchouli
Roman Chamomile
Rosewood
Sandlewood

Add a few drops to your daily lotion, into your body wash, or just put on with a little coconut oil to help combat dry skin.

Foods that support the skin are:
raw goat’s milk
black bass
rye
avocados
sea vegetables
whey
apples
cucumbers
millet
rice polishings
sprouts

Drinks:
carrot/celery/lemon juice
cucumber/endive/pineapple juice
