Organization and your Health
Okay this sounds a little far fetched, but just hear me out. Can you imagine feeling peaceful and relaxed in a home that is chaotic? Probably not, you would probably find yourself a little stressed. STRESS has been proven to break down the immune system causing you to be more susceptible to disease, and even chronic illness. If your home is organized and has good energy flow through it, you will notice life goes more smoothly, you will stay healthier, and you have more energy as well. This is the art of Feng Shui.
First thing to do when trying to create a better energy in your home is to dejunk/declutter. Clutter clogs up our homes and makes us feel awful. One website I can recommend in getting this clutter under control is Fly Lady. I know this website has helped out thousands of people, and in a way that you don't feel so overwhelmed. The website recommends going through your home one room at a time and taking 3 bags, one for things you will donate, one for things that need to be put away in a different room, and one for things you will throw away. You go through each room in your home doing this and when you are all done, you take one bag to the local good will, one bag to the trash, and take the final bag and go put away all of your stuff that was misplaced. Whatever is still left int he misplaced bag after going to each room needs to go to storage.
Easy enough right. Okay so not really, especially if you are a pack rat like me. But find a good friend or just someone to help you part with things you no longer need. If you use stones or would like to start, smokey quartz will help you to let go of things you no longer need. My good friend Terra is great at this and will actually come to your house and help you organize (for a small fee of course) her e-mail is terra_linse@yahoo.com if you are interested in having some help on this adventure.
Okay go get to it, de-clutter your home and I will be back tomorrow with more information on how to feng shui and organize your home!!
