More Goals

Okay so those of you who have not set those goals yet, here is some more information on what those goals should be.

Goals should be unique to you - make sure it is what you want for yourself and not what someone else wants for you.  If not it won't last.

Goals should be exact and time specific - so set a date that you want to accomplish a certain measurable thing.  Such as I want to loose 5 pounds in 3 weeks, or I want to run a marathon in 1 year, something you can measure.

Goals should come from within, and should be about you.  When you decide to loose weight because you compare yourself with a slender model this is not positive because it is outwardly focused.  It is like the lady that takes in a picture of a hair cut that she likes, like Meg Ryan's for instance, well even if the same hair stylist were to cut her hair it would still look nothing like Meg Ryan because the person is not Meg Ryan, they would not have the same hair texture, facial features and what not....  Make sure it is an inward goal because you want to feel good about you.

Goals should be realistic - make sure it is something that is attainable so as not to discourage yourself.  Whatever it is you are attempting to accomplish or change, it is not going to happen overnight, be realistic with yourself.

Goals should be harmonious with your beliefs and values - like I said in my post the other day.

Goals should be written and read often.  If you write them it becomes something.  This kind of concrete focus allows you to really see and visualize what you want.

Break down your goals so that you have mini goals along the way, and reward yourself for accomplishing them.

Visualize what it is you want, this is so powerful that many of the top athletes and business people do it frequently.

Say it, by verbalizing it outloud to yourself it gives you tremendous power.  It also keeps you focused, and hopefully positive.

Hope you can set and accomplish something great.
