Cancer

I found this fantastic and interesting article at http://drrobwellness.com/health_tips.html.  I thought it was worth sharing, check out his website it is great!

The big C, Cancer. No one wants to hear your doctor say it or hear that a friend has it. It’s not always a death sentence and yet even with all of Western medicine’s fancy machines and deadly chemicals our cancer survival rates are only slightly higher than what they were in 1950. Why you ask, with all the money we’ve spent trying to cure cancer? I believe the answer is in that question. Cancer is the # 2 money producer in the world, second only to oil. I don’t like to be a conspirest but I think when something doesn’t make sense you should follow the money, and there is a lot of money to follow with cancer.
Someday we will look back at how western medicine treats cancer and we will ask ourselves ‘how could we have been so barbaric?!’ The current chemo’therapy’ is to bring the body as close to death as possible and hope that the cancer dies before the patient.
Holistic thought is to try to make the body as healthy as possible and allow the body to cure itself. Here’s the kicker, we are all getting cancer all the time, but fortunately for most of us, our bodies are healthy enough that our body recognized the unusual cells and destroys them. Its only when our bodies become unhealthy and out of a line that cancer cells are able to grow unchecked.
Cancer and bacteria can only grow in an acidic environment. Therefore if we keep our bodies slightly alkaline it makes it very difficult for cancer and bacteria to multiply. Unfortunately the western diet is loaded with acid forming foods like meat, simple carbohydrates (like white sugar, breads, and desserts) and low on alkaline forming foods like most raw fruits and vegetables. Our diets should be made up of 80% alkaline forming foods and 20% acid forming foods.
But you say to me, Dr Rob I already have cancer, simply changing my diet isn’t going to be enough. And I would say you’re probably right!, more steps need to be taken.
Nobel prize winner Linus Pauling showed that cancer could be treated using intravenous vitamin C. The good news is that even if you have decided to take chemotherapy IV vit C therapy has no negative effects against the chemo treatment and in fact it reduces many of the negative side effects of chemo like nauseaness. IV vit C therapy would be my first recommendation for anyone diagnosed with cancer.
My second recommendation is to start taking something called Essiac tea. Essiac, given its name by Rene Caisse ("caisse" spelt backwards), consists of four main herbs that grow in the wilderness of Ontario, Canada. The original formula is believed to have its roots from the native Canadian Ojibway Indians.
The four main herbs that make up Essiac are
Burdock Root, Slippery Elm Inner Bark, Sheep Sorrel and Indian Rhubarb Root Rene Caisse devoted over fifty years of her life to treating thousands of cancer patients with Essiac. So effective were her treatments that in 1938 her supporters gathered 55,000 signatures for a petition, amongst other petitions, to allow Rene Caisse to continue treating cancer patients. A bill was introduced in the Ontario legislature to (allegedly) "authorize Rene Caisse to practice medicine in the Province of Ontario in the treatment of cancer and conditions therein". Due to the machinations of the medical establishment, the bill failed to pass by just three votes.
Rene Caisse operated her cancer clinic under the supervision and observation of a number of doctors. Based on what those doctors saw with their own eyes, eight of them signed a petition to the Department of National Health and Welfare at Ottawa, asking that Nurse Caisse be given facilities to do independent research on her discovery. Their petition, dated at Toronto on October 27, 1926, read as follows:
To Whom It May Concern:
"We the undersigned believe that the 'Treatment for Cancer' given by Nurse R.M. Caisse can do no harm and that it relieves pain, will reduce the enlargement and will prolong life in hopeless cases. To the best of our knowledge, she has not been given a case to treat until everything in medical and surgical science has been tried without effect and even then she was able to show remarkable beneficial results on those cases at that late stage.
"We would be interested to see her given an opportunity to prove her work in a large way. To the best of our knowledge she has treated all cases free of any charge and has been carrying on this work over the period of the past two years."
Initially, Rene was not aware of the control that the medical/pharmaceutical establishment had over governments. After the petition was delivered to the National Health and Welfare Department, she was continually threatened with arrest until she finally withdrew from public view. Unlike Nurse Caisse, the medical establishment was more interested in making money than in helping people. Essiac was cheap. It could cut into the lucrative profits from radiation, chemotherapy and surgery--treatments that often did more harm than good. Essiac is non-toxic. Rene said, "Chemotherapy should be a criminal offense." (taken from http://www.healthfreedom.info/Cancer%20Essiac.htm)
